Sessions Manouches 2026: Three Events, Three Atmospheres, One Passion!
Gypsy jazz takes center stage this year! Whether you’re here to refine your technique, discover this unique style, or simply share the energy of jam sessions, I’ve designed three immersive experiences to guide you on your musical journey.
From the vibrant city of Valencia to the peaceful mountains of the Cévennes, and through the festival atmosphere of Fribourg, here’s the program for our 2026 tour.
Spain: Sessions Manouches in Valencia
May 1–3, 2026
We’re kicking off the year in style under the Spanish sun! Imagine three days entirely dedicated to music: intensive workshops, concerts, and high-energy jam sessions in the heart of the Botànic district, right in the city center.
Together, we’ll dive into the essential gypsy jazz repertoire. I’m also honored to be joined once again by the phenomenal violinist Federico Nathan — a true master many of you loved during the 2025 academy, and who recently led two workshops in March 2026!
- Artists & instructors:
Eva Slongo & Federico Nathan (violin), Romain Vuillemin, Jimmy Grant & Noah Young (guitar), Matt Baker & Carlos Rubio (double bass) - Who is it for?
Whether you want to master the language of swing or simply explore the world of gypsy jazz, this workshop is for you. - Info & registration for Valencia
Switzerland: The “Sessions Manouches” Festival in Fribourg
June 24–27, 2026
What started as a workshop has officially evolved into a full-fledged Gypsy Jazz Festival! Fribourg will come alive with public concerts featuring internationally renowned soloists.
A fully immersive experience:
Masterclasses during the day, followed by concerts and jam sessions each evening in some of the city’s most iconic venues.
Open to all:
Violinists, guitarists, double bass players, and singers — there’s a place for everyone.
Featured artists:
Eva Slongo, Sophie Lussi, Tatiana Eva-Marie (vocals), Jimmy Grant, Zarek Silberschmidt, Charles Fréchette, Manu Hagmann, Jean-Baptiste Guerrier, and Gianni Verduzzi.
A special word about the incredible Sophie Lussi: she played a key role in my journey. She was the one who encouraged me to explore gypsy jazz when we met in Argentina in 2005, and she greatly contributed to me becoming a jazz violinist today. I’m truly happy to have her with us again after her participation in the academy!

France: Workshop in the Heart of the Cévennes
August 13–16, 2026
Looking for a complete reset? Join us in Rogues for four days immersed in the wild nature of the Cévennes. We’ll stay at “Le Revel,” a beautiful guesthouse with a pool and delicious cuisine — the perfect place to focus entirely on music.
Program:
Instrument technique in the morning, group workshops in the afternoon (bringing violins and guitars together to learn ensemble playing), followed by student concerts and late-night jam sessions to put everything into practice.
The team:
I’ll be joined by the talented Sophie Lussi (violin), the legendary Sébastien Giniaux (guitar), Jimmy Grant (guitar), and Leila Soldevila (double bass).

A personal note…
To be completely honest, organizing these three events has been a huge challenge — I may have aimed a little high! For now, the budget is tight to fairly compensate everyone and cover the organization, especially since I didn’t receive the support I had hoped for from the foundations I applied to.
If you’d like to support these projects (as an individual or a company), I’ve set up a support link. Every contribution truly helps, and we’ll personally thank you on our social media!
